    Chevy 1998 rear Bilstein Shocks

Reviewed By James Y (BRIDGEPORT, WV) Reviewed for a 1998 Chevy Silverado —7/18/2017 2:52 AM

Have around 90,000 on a beautiful 98 Silverado. After Bilstein installation the truck firmed up in the rear. Around curves, hauling small loads and braking. I tow a 15' trailer, and you can tell a big difference in handling. Ready to order a set of Bilstein's for the front. Always wanted these on my truck, and I am very happy with them. Thanks

I installed these shocks in rear only. Existing Monroe reflex were to soft and allowed to much sway. The highest setting works perfect. The only aspect I don't like is its not clear what setting you on in between low and high. Even rides nice as the truck is heavy.

Good But Need Better Clip Nuts!

Reviewed By Robert T (LITHONIA, GA) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Silverado —7/14/2017 4:59 AM

These arrived quickly and were easy to install. They have improved my ride over the original equipment which had 195,000 miles on them. The only problem came when I tried to torque the bolts on the bottom end which go into captured-nut clips. The ones that came on the new assembly were so thin, I could not get them up the the required 17 ft. lb.. torque. The bolds just slipped in the nuts. I pulled off the clips from my old struts and used them. They are much heavier.
