      Description

The rocket scientists at Volant have outdone themselves with this one. The Volant Cold Air Intake System lets your engine breathe huge gulps of cool, power-producing air for a massive performance boost. Increases of up to 18 horsepower, 40 ft/lbs of torque and even bolstered MPG are yours with Volant.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the oil-free PowerCore® air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts.  Details

I should of just brought the filter (Volant 5113) Air Duct was not any larger than stock, but does have a smoother inner liner for better air flow. Air box/Filter cover needed extensive trimming and does not fit that well. I also had to add a bracket to keep the air filter from rattling inside the air box between cover and washer fluid reservoir (even with 7.5" weatherstrip trim installed) Has slightly better pick up with slightly more intake growl.

Clearly a quality product. An easy hour to remove stock intake and install Volant CAI in my 2014 Jeep GCL 5.7. Glad it is a full box for clean look; wish lid were removable for access, but a minor factor since I have the Donaldson no maintenance filter. Know that the higher flowing, oilable filter uses the same housing. No doubt throttle response is crisper everywhere, and the sound the hemi makes under throttle will bring a smile to your face. Add a throttle body and tune for maximum benefit.

      Great Product!

The install was not that great and instructions could be better. The fit was rough where the old air box was. The bolts were not long enough...I ended up not using the washer and lock washer because they were not long enough. Seems to be holding for now but may need to buy longer bolts. But performance wise it has helped and makes a great rumble when you step on the accelerator.
